We are partnering with a well-established and progressive accounting and advisory firm in Melbourne seeking a Partner – Business Advisory to lead a high-performing division and play a key role in the firm's ongoing growth and success.
The Opportunity
This is a strategic leadership position responsible for driving the performance, growth, and development of the Business Advisory division. You will work closely with the executive leadership team, contribute to firm-wide strategy, and lead a team of experienced professionals while managing a portfolio of SME and high-net-worth clients.
The role offers a clearly defined pathway to equity partnership for the right individual.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and mentor Business Advisory Team Leaders, Client Managers, and Senior Accountants
Drive revenue growth, profitability, workflow efficiency, and team performance
Manage WIP, billing, lock-up, capacity planning, and resource allocation
Build and strengthen long-term client relationships
Deliver strategic business advisory services beyond compliance
Identify and generate recent business opportunities




Collaborate with leadership on strategic planning and business growth initiatives
Champion process improvements, innovation, and operational excellence
Foster a high-performance culture focused on coaching, development, and accountability
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
CA or CPA qualification
Current Tax Agent Registration (or eligibility to obtain registration)
10+ years' experience within public practice accounting
At least 5 years' experience at Senior Manager, Director, or Partner level
Strong technical expertise across business advisory, taxation, structuring, and SME client services
Demonstrated success leading teams and managing significant client portfolios
Proven ability to drive business development and revenue growth
Strong commercial acumen, leadership capability, and relationship management skills
A collaborative leadership style with a passion for mentoring and developing others
