The service leads a range of initiatives focused on reducing healthcare-associated infections, supporting compliance with national safety and quality standards, promoting hand hygiene and immunisation programs, and enhancing workforce capability through education and ongoing support., The Clinical Nurse (Infection Prevention and Control) plays a key role in protecting the health and safety of patients, staff, and visitors across the healthcare setting. As part of the Infection Prevention and Control team, you will contribute to the prevention and management of healthcare-associated infections through the provision of expert clinical advice, education, surveillance, and evidence-based practice.
Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, you will support the delivery of safe, high-quality healthcare by promoting best-practice infection prevention and control measures. Through a customer-focused approach, you will provide specialist guidance, build capability across the workforce, and contribute to a responsive healthcare workplace that prioritises patient safety and quality care.
