The Opportunity
We are partnering with a large, well-established organisation seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join their team on a 10-month fixed-term contract, commencing November ****.
This is an excellent opportunity for a capable payroll professional who enjoys working in a collaborative setting, takes pride in their accuracy and is confident managing day-to-day payroll responsibilities.
Based in Eagle Farm, the role offers a supportive team environment, flexibility around working hours, one day working from home each week and free onsite parking.
The Role
Working as part of an established payroll function, you will be responsible for supporting the accurate and timely delivery of payroll services across a large workforce.
Your responsibilities will include:
Processing payroll accurately and within required deadlines
Managing payroll adjustments, allowances, deductions and employee changes
Responding to payroll enquiries from employees and internal stakeholders
Maintaining accurate employee records and payroll information
Assisting with payroll reconciliations and reporting
Supporting compliance with relevant awards, enterprise agreements and legislative requirements
Identifying and resolving payroll discrepancies
Working collaboratively with the broader payroll team to ensure a high standard of service
About You
We are looking for someone who brings a solid understanding of payroll, strong attention to detail and a positive, team-oriented approach.
Ideally, you will have:
Previous experience working as a Payroll Officer
Payroll experience within a large or complex organisation, highly regarded
A sound understanding of Australian payroll legislation and compliance requirements
Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing deadlines
Confidence working with payroll systems and Microsoft Excel
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
A proactive, reliable and approachable working style
Most importantly, you will be someone who enjoys being part of a team, communicates well and takes ownership of their work.
