As a Youth Worker – YouthAssistant, you'll help create meaningful experiences that encourage youngpeople to connect, participate and thrive.
Working alongside our YouthServices team, you'll assist in delivering engaging and inclusive activities,programs and events designed around the interests and needs of local youngpeople. You'll help make the Youth Centre a welcoming space where everyonefeels supported, respected and confident to get involved.
No two days will be quite thesame. Your role will combine direct engagement with young people, hands-onprogram and event support, administration, and the day-to-day activities thatkeep the Youth Centre running smoothly.

What we need from you:
We're looking for someone whois passionate about working with young people and enjoys contributing as partof a supportive team.
Our ideal candidate will:
Have a genuine interest in working with young people and the ability to build positive relationships with young people and their families.
Have well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrate an understanding of and respect for culture and diversity.
Work effectively as part of a team.




Be proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
Hold a current Working with Children Check.
Hold a current unrestricted driver's licence.
Be available to work evenings and during school holiday periods.
It would be an advantage ifyou also have:
A relevant qualification in Youth Work or a related discipline.
A current First Aid certificate.
Previous experience working in a youth centre or delivering social or recreational programs for young people.
Previous experience working in local government.
