An exciting and rewarding opportunity is available for a suitably qualified candidate to join the Health Information Services team at Portland District Health.
You are responsible for providing Health Information administrative services, including accurate and timely processing of Freedom of Information (FOI) requests in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act **** (Vic), Office of the Victorian Information Commissioner (OVIC) guidelines, and organisational policies and procedures incorporating high level consumer service with effective and accurate processing of health information records, data and requests. Your focus will be on ensuring patient information is complete, accurate, maintained, and protected; whilst facilitating access to healthcare providers for ongoing patient care. Confidentiality, privacy and data integrity are essential to all aspects of the position. You will work within the Health Information Services team and liaise with staff, clients, health professionals and external agencies; contributing to patient care by providing safe and high-quality health information services.
About You
Relevant administration certificate - desirable
Experience in providing quality customer service
Demonstrated computer literacy with accurate data entry
Administration experience
Demonstrated capacity to follow procedures, manage time and organise workload efficiently
Ability to work positively and constructively with staff from a variety of professional backgrounds
Previous experience working in the health industry - desirable
Freedom of Information experience - desirable
