Isaac Regional Council is offering a Trainee Finance Officer position within our Financial Services team, based in either Clermont, Moranbah, Nebo or Middlemount. Commencing on Monday 18 January ****. Whether you're a school leaver, returning to the workforce, or looking for a career change, this traineeship is your chance to gain practical experience, earn an income and complete a Certificate III in Business.
About the role
As a Trainee Finance Officer, you'll:
Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable and financial record keeping.
Support reporting, data entry and reconciliation tasks.
Provide skilled customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
Complete your Certificate III in Business with full training and mentoring support.
Role at a glance
Type: Fixed Term – 12 months
Hours: Full-time, 72.5 hours per fortnight
Rate: $***** per hour
Roster: Monday to Friday, 9-day fortnight (hello long weekends!)
Who we're looking for
No prior finance experience is needed – just a willingness to learn and a positive attitude.



You'll thrive in this role if you:
Have strong attention to detail and enjoy working with numbers.
Are confident using basic computer programs, including Microsoft Office.
Communicate clearly and enjoy working as part of a team.
Have completed Year 10 or higher.
Hold a current driver's licence (desirable but not essential).
