About the role
We are seeking an experienced
Finance Manager
to join our team in Revesby NSW on a full time basis in a new office with onsite parking!
This is a strategic position that plays a pivotal role in driving financial performance and providing critical financial leadership across 24/7 Fuels. Reporting to senior management, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, and providing insights that support informed business decision-making. This role is essential to maintaining our financial health and supporting the company's growth objectives.
Key responsibilities
Managing day-to-day financial operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management
Preparing and analysing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and management accounts
Overseeing the annual budgeting process and monitoring performance against budget forecasts
Managing cash flow forecasting and working capital to ensure optimal liquidity
Implementing and maintaining financial controls, policies and procedures to safeguard company assets
Reconciling balance sheet accounts and investigating variances




Liaising with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure compliance with financial reporting standards and tax obligations
Preparing financial reports and presenting key findings to senior management and stakeholders
Managing the finance team, including recruitment, training, mentoring and performance management
Identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing systems to enhance financial efficiency
Supporting strategic planning by providing financial analysis and forecasting
What we're looking for
A qualification in accounting or finance (such as CA, CPA or equivalent professional certification)
Minimum 5-7 years' experience in a finance management or controller role within a commercial business environment
History in the use of Fuel Companion or any fuel accounting software
Strong proficiency with accounting software and financial management systems; experience with ERP systems is advantageous
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modelling
Demonstrated experience in financial planning, analysis and reporting
Solid understanding of audit requirements and financial compliance standards
Proven ability to manage and develop finance team members
Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
Experience in the fuel, logistics or distribution industry would be highly valuable
A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement
