Our team of nurses, general practitioners, and allied health professionals offer a range of healthcare services, including health assessments, chronic disease management, health promotion, wound management, immunizations, and other primary health interventions. HCA also launched a 24/7 Virtual Care Centre (VCC), offering remote healthcare through telehealth and video consultations to enhance onsite care for detainees.

Medical Escort Registered Nurse
, you'll provide essential clinical care and support to individuals during domestic and international transfers, ensuring their safety, wellbeing and dignity throughout the journey.

How You'll Make an Impact!

Providing safe, high-quality nursing care during domestic and international transfers
n

Assessing and monitoring patients' health throughout their journey

Administering medications and responding to clinical needs as required

Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders

Let's talk about you!
n
We're looking for experienced and adaptable Registered Nurses with current
unrestricted AHPRA registration
and a minimum of
5 years' post-registration nursing experience
.
Experience in Emergency Department (ED), ICU or acute care settings is highly regarded.
n
You'll need to be an
Australian citizen with a valid Australian passport
(minimum 6 months' validity) and be
flexible to travel domestically and internationally at short notice
, with availability to undertake
ideally one medical escort assignment per month, typically lasting 1- 4 days
.
n
Previous detention or correctional healthcare experience is highly regarded but not essential.
n
