Role Description
We are seeking a
Senior Java Developer
with 6+ years of experience in designing and developing enterprise applications using
Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices
.
Location
Sydney.
Salary
AUD *************** Annual Gross.
Please Note: - The above salary range is only indicative and maybe subject to suitable enhancements, based on internal company processes
Flexible working arrangements (hybrid, reviewed case-by-case basis).
Key Skills Required
Strong hands-on experience with Java 8+/11+/17, Spring Boot, and Microservices
Expertise in developing and consuming REST APIs
Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), SOLID principles, Design Patterns, and Clean Coding practices
Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL
Proficiency with Git, Maven/Gradle, and version control best practices




Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps
Experience with JPA/Hibernate, unit testing, and code quality tools
Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodologies
Key Responsibilities
Develop scalable, secure, and high-performance backend applications and microservices
Design and implement RESTful APIs and integrations
Participate in architecture, design reviews, and technical discussions
Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices
Perform code reviews, troubleshoot issues, and support production deployments
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment
Preferred Skills
Spring Cloud, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes
Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
Banking or Financial Services domain experience
Experience: 6+ Years
Primary Skills: Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, Oracle/MySQL/PostgreSQL, Git, Maven/Gradle, CI/CD, Agile Scrum.
Additional

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
