The Flower Shop Penrith is looking for an experienced Chef to join our team. We're after someone who knows their way around a busy kitchen, takes pride in the quality of their food and can maintain high standards under pressure.
We're a small business with a strong focus on creating a memorable experience for our guests, and we're looking for someone who brings great energy, a robust work ethic and a genuine passion for hospitality.
Key responsibilities
Prepare and deliver high-quality dishes consistently
Maintain food presentation, quality and kitchen standards
Work efficiently during busy service periods
Manage food preparation and maintain an organised, clean kitchen
Follow food safety, hygiene and storage requirements
Work collaboratively with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth service
Assist with menu preparation and general kitchen operations as required
About you




Previous experience as a Chef in a restaurant or busy hospitality venue is essential
Confident working in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Strong understanding of food safety and kitchen hygiene
Reliable, punctual and well organised
Able to work efficiently under pressure and manage competing priorities
Positive attitude with a strong work ethic
A team player who communicates well and takes pride in their work
Passionate about food, quality and delivering a great guest experience
Qualifications
Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification highly regarded
Food safety and hygiene knowledge essential
Current Food Safety Supervisor certification highly regarded
