We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Fabric Data Architect to lead the architecture and design of an enterprise-scale data platform. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Microsoft Fabric, data engineering, cloud architecture and metadata-driven ingestion frameworks, along with proven experience leading technical teams and driving architecture governance.
Key Responsibilities
Own end-to-end Microsoft Fabric architecture, target-state design, standards and governance.
Design OneLake, Lakehouse, Warehouse, Data Factory, Notebooks, Semantic Models and Power BI solutions.
Establish Bronze, Silver and Gold data layers and reusable, metadata-driven ingestion frameworks.
Define data modelling, orchestration, data quality, monitoring and performance optimisation standards.
Lead capacity planning, workload management, scalability and cost optimisation.
Conduct architecture and code reviews to ensure engineering standards and solution quality.
Collaborate with Azure platform, security, networking, DevOps and data governance teams.
Lead architecture workshops, manage senior stakeholders,



mentor technical teams and identify delivery risks with mitigation plans.
15+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering or solution architecture, with significant technical leadership experience.
Strong expertise in OneLake, Lakehouse, Warehouse, Fabric Data Factory, PySpark, SQL and Delta Lake.
Hands-on experience with medallion architecture and metadata-driven ingestion frameworks.
Robust knowledge of dimensional modelling, Data Vault and enterprise data models.
Experience in capacity management, performance tuning, orchestration and cloud data platform modernisation.
Excellent stakeholder management, architecture governance and technical leadership skills.
Microsoft Purview, Azure landing zones and Azure Monitor.
Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC, managed identities and Key Vault.
Azure networking, private endpoints, Private Link and data gateways.
Azure DevOps/GitHub, Fabric Git integration, CI/CD and Terraform/Bicep.
