An established Australian engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior Façade Engineer to join its North Shore team.

This role would suit a technically strong façade professional who enjoys taking ownership of projects, building client relationships and providing practical advice throughout design and construction.
The role
You will manage the design, assessment and delivery of façade packages across a diverse building portfolio. Key responsibilities include:

- Leading façade projects from initial design through documentation and construction.
- Advising on façade systems, materials, performance, weatherproofing and compliance.
- Preparing technical reports, including FP1.4 and weatherproofing reports.
- Reviewing designs, shop drawings, specifications and construction documentation.
- Working directly with clients, architects, builders and specialist subcontractors to resolve technical issues and guide design decisions.
- Undertaking site inspections, assessments and technical investigations.




- Supporting less-experienced engineers and contributing to the development of the façade team.

About you
You will bring sound technical judgement, clear communication and the confidence to work closely with clients and project stakeholders. Ideally, your experience will include:

- Relevant tertiary qualifications in engineering or a related discipline.
- Approximately 10 years’ façade engineering experience, preferably within a Tier 1 or Tier 2 consultancy.
- A minimum of five years’ Australian façade engineering experience is essential.
- Robust knowledge of Australian building standards and façade compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated experience preparing FP1.4 and weatherproofing reports.
- Experience with curtain wall systems, Hebel cladding, masonry and waterproofing.
- Broad knowledge of façade systems, including glazing, metal cladding, aluminium rainscreens, CFC façades, precast panels, balustrades, louvres, shading systems and brick façades.
- Familiarity with Australian glazing suppliers and proprietary façade systems.
- Strong technical report writing skills, attention to detail and a proactive, collaborative approach.
