An established Australian construction and civil infrastructure contractor is seeking an Environmental Coordinator to join its team in Townsville. With a strong presence across Queensland and a diverse portfolio of projects, this is an opportunity to work with an experienced team delivering projects that help shape local communities and infrastructure.

Based in Townsville, you’ll support a range of urban development and civil infrastructure projects, all within driving distance of the region. Working closely with project managers, engineers and site teams, you’ll play an important role in promoting environmental compliance and driving best practice across project delivery.

The Role

- Coordinate environmental management activities across multiple project sites.
- Monitor environmental compliance, including erosion and sediment control, waste management and site rehabilitation.
- Assist with environmental management plans, inspections, audits and reporting.
- Identify environmental risks and work with project teams to implement practical solutions.
- Promote environmental awareness and continuous improvement across construction sites.
- Liaise with project teams, subcontractors and relevant stakeholders to maintain environmental standards.

About You





- Experience in an environmental role within civil construction, infrastructure or urban development.
- Understanding of environmental legislation, approvals and compliance requirements.
- Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to engage with site-based teams.
- A practical, solutions-focused approach and confidence working across multiple projects.
- Relevant qualifications in Environmental Science, Environmental Management or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
