About the Role:

We are seeking a Physiotherapist for a 1-week locum with a residential aged care team in Rockhampton, QLD. A short 1-week locum is available for a Physiotherapist to support a residential aged care team in Rockhampton, QLD, from Monday 9 to Friday 13 November 2026, with accommodation provided. This placement is ideal if you are looking for a short-term contract and enjoy helping older residents stay safe, mobile and independent.

- Assess and treat residents with chronic conditions and musculoskeletal injuries, and develop management plans
- Complete initial assessments to guide care planning and interventions
- Carry out manual handling and functional capacity assessments to support safe care
- Implement falls prevention strategies and educate residents and staff on risk management
- Prescribe mobility aids and clinical equipment to suit individual needs
- Prepare clinical and community referrals for further medical or allied health support

About You:

- Tertiary degree in Physiotherapy (essential)
- Full AHPRA registration (essential)
- Aged care or residential care experience (preferred)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Current driver's licence (essential)
- Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check and Police Check, or willing to obtain
- Current flu and COVID vaccination evidence
- Medicare Provider Number, or willing to obtain
- Eligible to work permanently in Australia
