Telum is seeking a hands-on Trades Assistant to join the workshop team of a leading Australian precast concrete products supplier.

This is a great opportunity for someone with industrial or factory experience who enjoys working with machinery and supporting a mechanical maintenance team.

No two days need to be the same, and you'll have the opportunity to learn recent skills on the job!

What you'll be doing

- Greasing machinery and hydraulic components
- Assisting with boiler-related work




- Supporting fitters with mechanical repairs, maintenance and breakdowns
- Carrying out routine machinery and equipment checks
- Using hand and power tools for general maintenance tasks
- Helping keep plant and equipment running safely and efficiently

What we're looking for

We're keen to hear from practical, reliable candidates with experience in a factory, workshop or industrial environment.

You’ll ideally have:

- Experience working around industrial machinery & plant
- A basic understanding of hydraulics and mechanical components
- Confidence using hand and power tools
- The ability to assist tradespeople with repairs and maintenance
- A willingness to learn, take direction and get hands-on
- A current driver’s licence and your own transport
- The ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening
