About Carousel

Carousel is a third-generation, Australian-owned family business with over 30 years of experience in bridalwear, men's formalwear and custom tailoring.

We specialise in Australian-made bridal gowns, personalised customer service and quality craftsmanship. Our bridal gowns are designed and made in our Australian workroom, and we take pride in helping customers look and feel their best for life's most important occasions.

As we continue growing Carousel, we're looking for someone enthusiastic, creative and motivated to join our team and help us develop the business both in-store and behind the scenes.

About the Role

This is a varied, hands-on position combining retail sales, customer service, social media, Shopify and showroom operations.

You'll assist with developing our Shopify store, creating social media content, organising photoshoots and bringing fresh ideas to our marketing and online presence.

You'll also assist customers with bridal gowns and men's formalwear, help with appointments and fittings, and keep our showroom looking its best.

No two days will be quite the same, and there will be plenty of opportunities to learn recent skills and take on more responsibility.

What You'll Be Doing

- Social Media & Marketing: Assist with creating content, planning posts, organising photoshoots and developing our online presence alongside our in-house photographer.

- Shopify & E-Commerce:



Maintain product listings, images, descriptions and collections, and assist with improving our online store.

- Sales & Customer Service: Welcome customers, assist with bridal and formalwear consultations, build relationships and help customers find the right garments.

- Showroom Presentation: Maintain a clean, organised and beautifully presented showroom, including visual merchandising, mannequin styling and general housekeeping.

- Stock & Daily Operations: Assist with customer enquiries, bookings, orders, stock control, Shopify POS and garment preparation.

- Fittings & Tailoring: Learn about fabrics, measurements, bridal fittings, suit hire and basic alterations, with training provided.

- Wedding Expos & Events: Assist with preparing, setting up and representing Carousel at wedding expos and promotional events across Melbourne.

- Business Development: Bring fresh ideas, take initiative and help identify opportunities to improve our customer experience, marketing and everyday operations.

About You

We're looking for someone who:

- Enjoys working with people and has a genuine interest in sales and customer service.

- Is friendly, confident, approachable and a great communicator.

- Is creative,



organised and has excellent attention to detail.

- Takes pride in their personal presentation and maintaining an immaculate showroom.

- Has an interest in social media, content creation, fashion and e-commerce.

- Is proactive, reliable and comfortable taking responsibility without constant direction.

- Enjoys learning new skills and contributing ideas.

- Has an eye for visual merchandising and creating attractive displays.

- Is available to work Saturdays and Thursday evenings as part of a regular five-day roster.

Experience in retail sales, Shopify, social media and visual merchandising will be highly regarded, but we don't expect you to know everything. Training will be provided for the right person.
