A well-regarded engineering and advisory consultancy is looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join its Brisbane team. If you have a solid grounding in building services design and you’re ready to step up into a more senior, more influential role, this is a great next move.
You will deliver high-quality electrical design across a varied project portfolio, working alongside senior engineers and business leaders who actively back new ideas and invest in your growth. What you will be doing
- Delivering electrical services design to a high technical standard across a range of sectors and project types
- Managing your discipline scope through the full design lifecycle, from concept through to construction and practical completion
- Leading and coordinating design teams, and supervising and mentoring junior and graduate engineers working under your direction
- Carrying out quality assurance reviews of electrical deliverables in line with company QA policy
- Providing design certification and sign-off, including Form 15
- Working directly with clients, contractors and stakeholders
- Preparing fee proposals and contributing to project bids
- Attending site inspections and project meetings,
and preparing or reviewing reports, meeting minutes and technical documentation
- Representing the business at industry events
About you
- Around 5+ years’ experience in electrical engineering, ideally in building services design
- An Australian-recognised engineering degree or relevant trade background
- Relevant registration or licensing, such as CPEng, NER, RPEQ or a QBCC Designer Licence
- Strong knowledge of Australian Standards, regulations and the National Construction Code
- Proficiency in Revit and CAD
- Sound engineering judgement and strong problem-solving skills
- Explicit, confident written and verbal communication
- Experience across a diverse mix of project types, and the ability to independently manage your discipline scope
- Excellent organisation, attention to detail and professional standards
- A commitment to continuous improvement and building a well-rounded consulting skill set
- Australian citizenship (preferred) or permanent residency
