About the Role

This is a full-time position situated onsite at The Fish Factory Australia Holdings head office. The purpose of this role is to oversee, manage and be responsible for wholesale sales and customer engagement on a national scale. Taking responsibility for sales performance, team management, sales strategies and reporting, the National Sales Manager will have control over interstate teams and sales personnel. Being a naturally driven salesperson with a focus on customer retention, sales growth and proven growth results, the National Sales Manager will report directly to the CEO and take accountability for national sales performance. With a strong understanding and proven ability to navigate sales targets, control gross profit and overall cashflow, this role demands an expert level of sales and business acumen. This role exists to be a natural motivator to wider interstate teams, consistently providing support and effective sales strategies which push the business toward its desired growth targets. The National Sales Manager will naturally seek opportunities to grow the wholesale business into current areas,



industries and sectors, seeking synergies and innovative ideas. Frequent travel is expected in this role.

Areas of responsibility (AORs)

In a broad sense, the National Sales Manager will be responsible for managing, overseeing and monitoring the below AORs of our sales team on a national scale:

- Sales figures and targets
- Key account management
- Gross profit
- Team mentorship and motivation
- Procurement

Experience, qualifications & personal attributes

Essential

- Demonstrated experience and success in a similar Sales Manager role or sales-oriented role.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate and clearly communicate with wider teams.
- Strong ability to understand and interpret financial data, sales numbers, profit margins and sales reports
- Proven experience with a wide range of sales tactics and strategies to achieve strong customer relations and retention.
- Exceptional customer service skills and strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to create executive-level performance reports.
- Significant and proven ability to grow and/or maintain sales across challenging environments, volatile markets and uncontrollable external circumstances.
- Strong decision making and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated aptitude to work both independently and collaboratively.

Desirable but not essential

- Experience in the seafood industry.
- Experience in a senior sales-oriented role within the foodservice sector.
- A minimum of 5 years' combined experience in a Sales Manager and/or Management role in which sales performance was a key KPI.
