Randstad is excited to be recruiting for an experienced Cost Controller and Assurance Specialist.
This role offers a key strategic prospect to provide independent cost analysis, robust assurance, and high-level financial intelligence across a high-profile portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
- In this role, you will complement project-level teams by independently challenging, analysing, and synthesising cost data across major infrastructure investments:
- Conduct independent portfolio-level reviews of monthly cost reports.
- Evaluate the accuracy and consistency of cost forecasts, trend movements, and cost-to-complete assumptions.
- Analyse Earned Value Management (EVM) data (including CPI, SPI,
and progress tracking) to ensure alignment between physical schedule progress and expenditure.
- Perform targeted deep-dive reviews and cost assurance audits on high-risk projects, payment claims, open-book costs, and labour rates.
- Develop executive ready reporting, including monthly portfolio assurance reports, cost performance dashboards, and contingency registers.
- Escalate material cost exposures, reporting gaps, and data quality concerns constructively to senior leadership.
