You will be required to lead the effective operation of the branch by supporting staff, delivering quality and customer focused library services, fostering a positive team environment, and building strong relationships with customers, stakeholders and the community. Blue Mountains Library is seeking an enthusiastic and capable Team Leader to lead a dedicated team in a agile and busy public library environment. With experience supervising, supporting and developing staff; coordinating day-to-day operations; and fostering a collaborative team culture; you are agile, resilient and solutions-focused and can manage competing priorities while delivering quality customer service.

The successful candidate will have:

- Tertiary qualifications in Library/Information Studies or associated field.
- Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with the public and effectively respond to the needs of the community in a customer-focused environment and demonstrated commitment to excellence in customer service.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and supervise a team with initiative, flexibility, enthusiasm, and high-level teamwork skills.




- Demonstrated ability to problem-solve, making decisions promptly, in line with established procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to identify priorities, meet deadlines and work with attention to detail.
- Demonstrated experience with library-based technology and library management systems, including the provision of public access technology, and the ability to trouble-shoot and resolve issues where required.
- Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
- Thorough knowledge of and commitment to Work, Health and Safety systems and issues and a commitment to attend relevant training.
- Understanding and commitment to Equal Employment Opportunity principles.

Remuneration: base salary commencing at $85,842 (pro-rata) gross per annum + 12% superannuation + annual performance-based salary increases / bonus (1-3.5%) + annual award increase.
