Lismore Base Hospital is seeking a Registered Midwife to join the Women's Care Unit on a contract basis, starting as soon as possible through to 22 November 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a busy maternity service in regional NSW, supporting women and families through pregnancy, labour, and the postnatal period. You'll work alongside an experienced midwifery team in a supportive clinical environment.

- Contract role with versatile start date, running through to 22 November 2026
- Join a dedicated Women's Care Unit team in Lismore, NSW
- Deliver direct midwifery care across the full scope of maternity services

Preferred Requirements

- Current registration as a Registered Midwife with AHPRA
- Demonstrated experience in midwifery practice,



including antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills in a maternity setting
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication skills and a woman-centred approach to care

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor of Midwifery or equivalent qualification recognised by AHPRA
- Current CPR and emergency resuscitation certification
- Experience in a hospital-based maternity unit or similar acute care setting
