A values-driven, not-for-profit aged care organisation in Inverell, NSW, wants a full-time Registered Nurse who can lead clinical care for its residents across morning, afternoon and overnight shifts.

The employer needs someone who practises safely within scope, keeps to AHPRA requirements and aged care standards, and works closely with the Care Manager and General Manager. It has stated that 482 visa sponsorship is available for eligible candidates, so overseas nurses who meet the criteria can be considered.

The organisation is looking for strong assessment and medication skills, careful documentation and genuine warmth towards older people.

- Lead comprehensive assessments and collect health and care details from residents and families
- Take part in admissions and continuing assessments
- Plan care, then implement and review resident care plans at regular intervals
- Produce accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Provide direct clinical care to residents when required
- Manage medicines safely,



from ordering and storage through to documentation
- Monitor health and wellbeing and respond when a resident's clinical condition changes
- Collaborate with families, carers, GPs and the care team, keeping the setting safe, respectful and person-centred
- Support quality, compliance and continuous improvement, and mentor care staff on clinical needs

- AHPRA registration that is current
- Experience in, and/or knowledge of, residential aged care
- Strong clinical assessment and medication management skills
- Strong documentation skills
- Understanding of aged care accreditation and compliance obligations
- Knowledge of the government standards for delivering aged care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Comfortable working within a multidisciplinary team
- Current National Criminal History Check, or the ability to obtain one
- Genuine passion for helping older people live with dignity, choice and respect
- Must meet the legislative requirements of Aged Care Worker Screening
