About our Role





An exciting opportunity exists for a qualified Nutritionist to join our Strategy & Innovation - Global Food team on a 12 month fixed-term contract covering a period of parental leave. Reporting to our Nutrition Manager, this role supports the implementation of Simplot's Nutrition and Health agenda at a category level by providing technical guidance and consumer-focused health insights that add value to our products.

Working collaboratively across the business, you will balance stakeholder needs while ensuring alignment with business strategy and promoting evidence-based nutrition solutions

What you will do

- Act as a category champion and subject matter expert for nutrition and health.
- Identify and influence new product innovation and product improvement opportunities that support nutrition and health strategy targets.
- Drive nutrition improvement initiatives through internal nutrition criteria and Health Star Ratings.
- Provide nutrition and technical guidance to support innovation, growth and value improvement opportunities.
- Provide commercially relevant health and nutrition counsel to support product portfolios and sales opportunities.




- Maintain current knowledge of regulatory requirements and ensure nutrition and health claims are based on sound scientific evidence.
- Partner with key stakeholders to develop and implement compliance and regulatory requirements using a balanced risk approach.
- Monitor nutrition and health trends, emerging research and competitor activity to provide insights that inform business decisions.
- Support delivery of Simplot's Nutrition & Health strategy through category-based workstreams and stakeholder engagement activities.
- Contribute to education and communication activities that promote the nutrition credentials of Simplot's products, strategy and health initiatives.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

- An undergraduate or postgraduate qualification in Nutrition and/or Dietetics.
- Experience working in a nutrition-related role.
- Strong knowledge of nutrition science and the ability to provide evidence-based guidance.
- Experience supporting product development and innovation through nutrition and technical expertise.
- Exposure to brand and marketing communications.
- Exposure to project management activities.
- Working knowledge of FSANZ and international food regulations relating to nutrition and health claims.
- The ability to build effective relationships and collaborate with stakeholders across Innovation, Commercial, Supply Chain, Quality, Regulatory and Legal teams.
