The Company

Our client is an established Australian business offering a broad accounting prospect within a friendly, collaborative finance team.

Reporting to the Finance Manager and with relationships with non-finance stakeholders across the business, this role will bring together financial accounting and inventory reporting/analysis.

The team enjoys regular social activities, with flexibility to work from home some days after the initial training period.

The Role

This Financial Accountant position offers an even split between financial, management accounting responsibilities and inventory, costing and process improvement work:

- Prepare monthly entity (including Head Officed) P&L; reports and analysis
- Complete journals and balance sheet reconciliations




- Support budgets and cash flow forecasts
- Reconcile inventory and review stock valuations
- Investigate product costs and manufacturing variances
- Analyse customer, product and job margins
- Work with operations to improve stock accuracy
- Manage customer invoicing and payment follow-ups

Your Background

You will bring a solid financial accounting background, with experience in manufacturing or another inventory-focused business:

- CA/CPA qualifications or nearing completion is highly desirable
- Ideally 2+ years’ experience in a similar role
- Strong exposure to Manufacturing environments, in particular to inventory
- Hands-on experience within inventory reconciliations, Stock valuations and COGS
- Strong communication skills to liaise with non-finance stakeholders
