The Handyperson role is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in maintenance and facilities. We’re looking for a practical, hands-on individual who is eager to learn, enjoys solving problems, and wants to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced hotel environment. This role is ideal for someone with some practical maintenance experience who is looking to further build their skills and grow their career in hospitality maintenance.

This is your daily contribution to an exceptional guest experience …

Perform basic maintenance and repair tasks, including plumbing, painting, HVAC, and general upkeep of hotel facilities;

Ensure all guest rooms, public areas, and service areas are in excellent working order;

Respond quickly to maintenance requests from guests and staff;

Conduct regular inspections of hotel equipment, machinery, and systems to identify potential issues;

Maintain inventory of tools, supplies, and materials, and request replacements as necessary;

Assist with setup and breakdown for special events or room configurations;

Follow all safety protocols and ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations;

Communicate effectively with each other to address urgent maintenance concerns.

Qualifications

We’re looking for someone who brings both technical skill and creative spark …





Previous experience working in hotels is preferred;

You’re a hands on, proactive team player who’s reliable, punctual, and ready to pitch in;

Experience in operating a variety of equipment, including small hand tools;

Good written and verbal communication skills;

Ability to accommodate flexibility with shifts;

Weekend and public holiday availability;
