An exciting full time opportunity has become available for a Quality Assurance professional to lead the Quality function at our family run manufacturing business in Holden Hill.

Reporting to the General Manager, your responsibility will include leading the Quality function in coordinating all Quality Assurance activities along with embedding a proactive Quality focused culture within our team.

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to join our proactive teams. This hands on role is a key member of the leadership team assisting in achieving and exceeding company goals. Primarily the Quality Assurance Manager is accountable for coordinating work systems that ensures our products and services meet the highest possible quality standards and customer expectations.

Role Highlights

To achieve success as our Quality Assurance Manager, you will bring your existing acquired Quality Manager skills and experience to all our teams. You will work closely with all key stakeholders in ensuring the company’s quality assurance, management methods and systems meet current standards with the Quality Assurance Manager being accountable for taking a lead role in internal and external audits and driving continuous improvement throughout the organisation. across our sites.

Key Responsibilities (but not limited to because we are team focused)

- Maintain & control of Quality Assurance systems (FSSC 22000/ HACCP) documentation and maintaining certification.
- Complete internal audits as per audit schedule and take a lead role in external audits.
- External and internal audit findings are to be documented, actioned and closed out within agreed timeframes.
- Make recommendations for improvements/changes to the Quality System and Management Systems (FSSC, HACCP) to the General Manager and update and implement authorised revisions (all documentation as required).
- Responsible for maintaining FSSC 22000 and HACCP certification
- HACCP Team and Food Safety Lead
- Development of Quality Assurance policies, procedures and work instructions that are clear, succinct and understood by team members
- Management of non-conforming products, pest control, traceability process, perishable stock, hygiene and sanitation
- Take a lead role in educating others in Quality processes, changes to regulations and certifications
- Regulatory documentation (USFDA/EU/FSANZ) is reviewed to ensure the Quality Assurance system is updated accurately




- Oversight and responsibility for quality control of incoming goods, in process goods and finished product inspection of goods to ensure customer specifications are adhered to.
- Make recommendations for Solutions and improvements, including but not limited to making any changes to processes, products or standards of QA where warranted and approved.
- Ensuring that manufacturing processes comply with appropriate quality and accreditation standards
- Display a high standard of customer service throughout the organisation
- Support our USA manufacturing operation with technical advice when required.
- Knowledge of FSSC 22000
- Experience in textile manufacturing or a similar fast paced manufacturing environment.
- Experience in food production or similar production environment
- Experience in FMCG manufacturing environment
- Exposure to quality systems, HACCP or regulated manufacturing environments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and dedicated manufacturing CMS or CMMS.
- Tertiary qualification in Science, Quality Assurance or Production Management
