Lismore Base Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join its Operating Theatre and Recovery team on a contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a clinician with solid post-anaesthesia care experience to contribute to a busy surgical workplace in regional NSW. The contract runs from as soon as possible through to 22 November 2026, offering flexibility for the right candidate looking to make an immediate impact in theatre and recovery settings.
- Specialised theatre and post-anaesthesia care unit (PACU) nursing in a regional hospital setting
- Contract position with defined end date, ideal for experienced nurses seeking short-term placement
- Based in Lismore, NSW, with opportunity to work across operating theatre and recovery environments
Preferred Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in recovery and post-anaesthesia care unit (PACU) nursing
- Strong clinical knowledge of post-operative patient assessment and monitoring
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced theatre environment with changing priorities
- Excellent communication skills and capacity to collaborate with anaesthetists, surgeons, and theatre teams
- Current knowledge of infection control protocols and theatre-specific safety standards
Preferred Qualifications
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
- Post-graduate qualification or recognised training in perioperative nursing or critical care
- Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification or willingness to obtain
