The organisation

A well-established healthcare provider with a large, diverse workforce working rosters around the clock across multiple sites. The payroll and systems team is team-oriented and supportive, and you'll work closely with payroll, HR and IT.

The role

Reporting to the HRIS Systems Lead, you'll look after the day-to-day running and continuous improvement of the time and attendance system. You'll make sure it reflects award and agreement requirements, integrates smoothly with payroll and performs reliably. It's hands-on and varied, and you'll have real input into how the system develops.

What you'll be doing

- Administering and supporting the UKG (Kronos) time and attendance system, including configuration, maintenance and device administration
- Running the regular integration of approved timecards into the payroll system and resolving any issues
- Building, updating and testing pay rules, pay codes, employee types and award or agreement increases
- Day-to-day support such as public holiday set-up, leave approver hierarchies, Hyperfinds,



and employee starts and terminations
- Working with payroll and HR to interpret award and enterprise agreement changes and assess their impact on systems
- Supporting upgrades, enhancements and improvement projects
- Writing and maintaining work guides, process documentation and technical specifications
- Helping with audit and compliance requirements around employee data
- Training users and being the friendly first point of contact for system queries

About you

- Experience with time and attendance systems admin such as Kronos (UKG)
- Strong understanding of payroll and award interpretation, particularly shift penalties, allowances and complex rostering
- A natural problem solver who enjoys working out why something isn't working, then fixing it
- Approachable and confident, able to explain technical things simply and speak up when something needs to be said
