As a Welder at Clyde Group, you weld structural and architectural steel assemblies to a high standard, ensuring solid, clean, compliant welds that meet drawings, specifications and quality requirements. You work safely and efficiently as part of the workshop team. Plenty of overtime available.

Key responsibilities

- Weld steel components and assemblies to drawings, specifications and relevant standards
- Select correct welding processes, settings and consumables for the job
- Produce strong, clean, accurate welds with minimal defects
- Check welds and assemblies against QA standards and drawings
- Assist with fitting and assembly as required
- Rectify defects and ensure work is finished to specification
- Follow hot work, ventilation and welding safety procedures




- Wear welding PPE (helmet, gloves, leathers) and required PPE at all times
- Maintain a clean, tidy work area and report hazards

About you

- Trade qualification or proven experience in welding (MIG/TIG/arc as required)
- Ability to read and work from engineering drawings
- Knowledge of welding standards and quality requirements for structural steel
- Strong understanding of welding and hot-work safety
- Attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Reliable team player with a positive attitude
