Salary: AUD $75,000–$80,000 per annum plus superannuation, depending on skills and experience

THE CAKE IDEAS PTY LTD operates under the business name dough&III.; We are seeking a skilled and motivated Baker / Pastrycook to join our team and support our bakery operations.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of bakery products while maintaining consistent product quality, food safety standards and effective production processes.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare, mix and process ingredients according to established recipes and production requirements.
- Operate and monitor commercial baking equipment, including ovens, mixers and dough-processing machinery.
- Prepare doughs, batters and other mixtures for bread, cakes, pastries and related bakery products, as required.
- Monitor fermentation, proofing, baking temperatures and baking times to ensure consistent product quality.
- Check the quality, texture, colour and appearance of finished products.




- Adjust ingredient quantities and baking processes when necessary to maintain product consistency.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the bakery and ensure compliance with food safety requirements.
- Monitor ingredient stock levels and assist with ordering supplies.
- Store ingredients and finished products appropriately to maintain freshness and minimise waste.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures and maintain a clean and organised production area.

Selection Criteria

- Relevant qualifications in baking or a related field, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
- Previous experience in a commercial bakery is preferred.
- Knowledge of baking techniques, ingredient preparation and commercial baking equipment.
- Understanding of food safety, hygiene and workplace safety requirements.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistent product quality.
