Youth Justice and Victim Support in Townsville region is seeking a Detention Youth Worker on a permanent basis with non-standard hours. You will ensure young people in detention are kept secure and well, promoting positive behaviour to aid reintegration into the community.
Induction begins 18 January 2027 for about seven weeks. The role involves enforcing centre rules, delivering gender- and culturally sensitive activities, and being a trusted confidant for detainees, with day and night wellbeing
