About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and versatile Houseman/Hotel All Rounder to join our housekeeping team on a full-time, live-in basis . This role is essential to maintaining the exceptional standards our guests expect from Lurline Hotel Group. As a Houseman/Hotel All Rounder, you will support all aspects of our hotel operations, with a primary focus on housekeeping duties. Your contributions will directly impact guest satisfaction and the overall reputation of our establishment. The live-in arrangement offers a unique opportunity to be part of our close-knit team whilst enjoying convenient accommodation on the premises as a requirement of the live in roll you are required to assistance guests in emergency and handle any urgent out of hours calls.

Key responsibilities

- Maintaining all guest rooms to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation, including daily cleaning, vacuuming, dusting, and bathroom sanitation
- Changing bed linens and ensuring rooms are stocked with fresh towels and amenities according to hotel standards
- Responding promptly to guest requests for additional items or assistance
- Inspecting rooms for maintenance issues and reporting these to management immediately
- Assisting with deep cleaning of communal areas, corridors, and public spaces
- Supporting reception and front-of-house staff with general hotel duties as required




- Assisting with luggage handling and porter duties when necessary
- Maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies and housekeeping equipment
- Following all health and safety protocols and maintaining a safe working environment
- Contributing to the overall smooth operation of the hotel and supporting team members across departments

What we’re looking for

- Previous experience in housekeeping, hotel maintenance, or a similar hospitality role is highly desirable
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Physical fitness and ability to perform repetitive tasks, including lifting and bending throughout shifts
- Reliability, punctuality, and a professional demeanour
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, helpful attitude towards guests and colleagues
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and assist with various hotel duties
- Willingness to live on-site and commit to the live-in arrangement which includes taking the after hours phone and assisting guest in the event of emergency or lock out outside of staffed hours.
- Any relevant qualifications in hospitality or housekeeping would be advantageous
