Simmons Civil is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious EWP Operator / Spotter to join our team in Gladstone, QLD. Your primary focus will be on maintaining site safety , operating an EWP, assisting with general labouring duties , and providing spotting services to ensure all activities are conducted in compliance with site requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Provide spotting services and operating mobile plant and equipment, ensuring safe movement and operations on-site
- Perform general labouring duties including site preparation, material handling, and debris removal
- Maintain clear communication with equipment operators and site personnel using radio communications
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify and report hazards and unsafe conditions
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of work areas and equipment
- Maintain housekeeping standards and keep work areas clean and organised
What we're looking for
- Proven experience working as a Labourer / Spotter / EWP Operator in industrial, construction, or civil settings
- White Card (Construction Induction Card)
- EWP ticket / high risk work licence
- 3-site Medipass - Yellow (highly desirable)
- Gladstone site inductions (highly desirable)
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Physical fitness and capability to perform manual labour duties
- Reliability and punctuality, with a positive attitude towards work
- Current manual driver's licence and vehicle to get to work is essential
