Are you an early childhood educator who prefers OSHC?

We’re looking for educators who want to focus mainly on Before School Care, After School Care and Vacation Care (OSHC) across Brisbane and surrounding areas, supporting children aged approximately 5-12.

This role suits educators who want OSHC shifts specifically: typically short shifts before and after school, plus Vacation Care during school holidays. You don’t need to want Long Day Care shifts, but you do need recent LDC experience and an early childhood qualification (more on why below).

Complete 10 eligible OSHC shifts within 30 days of joining and receive a $75 bonus! To be eligible, simply mention the OSHC Bonus Campaign to your Talent Advisor during your interview.

At Z Staffing, you choose when and where you work through our easy-to-use app. Our greatest need right now is OSHC, so you’re welcome to stick to OSHC shifts only. Long Day Care shifts will also be available to you if you ever want extra work, but they’re optional.

What You'll Need

- Australian recognised Early Childhood qualification (Cert III, Diploma, ECT or currently studying)
- Recent Long Day Care experience (minimum 50 hours)
- Current Blue Card
- Food Handling Certificate
- National Child Safety Certificate

Why do we ask for LDC experience if the role is OSHC?

Most of our clients are Long Day Care services, and our recruitment and onboarding process is built around recent LDC experience. It also means you’re confident and safe supporting children across different settings. If you love OSHC but don’t have an Australian-recognised early childhood qualification (Cert III, Diploma or ECT, or currently studying one) and at least 50 hours of recent LDC experience, unfortunately we can’t progress your application at this stage.

Additional Information

Most of our current OSHC clients require a childcare-specific National Police Check issued within the last 3 years .
