Senior Full Stack Java Engineer – Sydney

Delivery Centric is seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack Java Engineer with solid banking domain experience to join our delivery team in Sydney. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Java development, Spring Boot, microservices, full-stackengineering, data modelling, data engineering, and system integrations within enterprise banking environments

Experience in Treasury, Financial Markets, Payments, or Risk will be highly regarded

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable enterprise applications using Java and modern full-stack technologies
- Build and maintain microservices, REST APIs, and system integrations
- Design data models, data pipelines, and end-to-end data flows
- Optimise data processing and ensure data quality, integrity, and governance
- Collaborate with architects, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable banking solutions
- Participate in architecture reviews, Agile ceremonies, and continuous improvement initiatives

Mandatory Skills & Experience

- 8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience
- Strong expertise in Java 8/11/17+, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, microservices, and REST APIs
- Experience in SQL, database design, data modelling, data engineering concepts, and data flow optimisation
- Database experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MS SQL Server
- Exposure to Azure, AWS, or GCP, along with Docker, Kubernetes, Git, and CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of TDD, secure coding practices, and Agile/Scrum delivery
- Proven experience delivering technology solutions inRetail Banking, Commercial Banking, Institutional Banking, Digital Banking,



Payments, Lending, Risk & Compliance, or Financial Markets

Good to Have

- Treasury platforms, liquidity management, cash management, trading systems, market data integration, or treasury risk reporting
- Kafka, Apache Spark, data lakes, ETL frameworks, Master Data Management (MDM), or event streaming platforms
