An opportunity is available for an experienced Production Operator to join an established oil and gas operation in Queensland. This role offers the chance to work within a hands-on team, supporting secure and efficient production across an operating oil asset.

Key responsibilities include:

Monitor and operate oil production facilities and associated equipment.

Monitor beam pump performance and identify potential operating issues.

Conduct routine inspections of wellheads, beam pumps and production equipment.

Troubleshoot operational issues and report equipment faults or abnormal conditions.

Monitor production rates and assist with optimising well performance.

Complete operational logs, production reports and relevant documentation.

Assist with maintenance activities, equipment isolation and shutdowns as required.

Follow site safety procedures, permit-to-work systems and environmental requirements.





Work collaboratively with maintenance personnel and other site team members to maintain reliable operations.

Required skillset:

Previous experience as a Production Operator within the oil and gas industry.

Hands-on experience operating and monitoring beam pumps and rod pump systems.

An understanding of artificial lift systems and oil production operations.

Experience monitoring well performance, identifying faults and responding to production issues.

A sound understanding of process safety, hazard identification and risk management.

Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently in a remote operating environment.

Relevant industry qualifications and safety certifications will be highly regarded.
