This is a full-time, on-site Graduate Accountant role based in Cairns, QLD. The Graduate Accountant will assist with preparing financial statements, tax returns, and compliance documentation for a range of clients under the guidance of senior accountants. The role involves using modern accounting software and tools, and supporting the team in delivering timely, high-quality advisory and compliance services.

Prepare financial statements, tax returns, and compliance documentation for clients, ranging from individuals, trusts, companes and SMSF's

Perform data entry and reconciliation

Liaise with clients to obtain information

Respond to basic client queries

Participate in learning and development activities

About you





Relevant tertiary qualification (or near completion) in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline

Foundational knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and taxation concepts

Proficiency with spreadsheets and accounting software; ability to learn new digital tools quickly

Robust attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and sound numerical and analytical skills

Clear written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and client-focused manner

Ability to work effectively in a team, accept feedback, and manage time and priorities in a busy environment

Commitment to ongoing professional development; eligibility or interest in pursuing CA or CPA accreditation is an advantage

Prior internship or work experience in an accounting or business environment is beneficial but not essential
