Jumbo is a locally owned skip bin hire and recycling business based in Narangba, north of Brisbane. We drop bins at homes, building sites and businesses across South East Queensland. Then we bring the waste back to our own facilities, sort and ensure as much as possible is recycled internally or externally, instead of going to landfill.

We’re a real business with trucks, bins and recycling facilities full of action every day. Very few of our competitors show any of it. That’s the opportunity.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for someone to own our social media and, most importantly, make video. Short-form video is where our customers are, and we want to be the waste business that stands out. Sorting lines, fleet of trucks, bright green skip bins, before-and-after cleanups, the team, the machinery: it’s all great content, and almost none of it is being filmed.

You’ll come up with the ideas, then film, edit and post them on Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube, with TikTok to come. You’ll also make the graphics that go with them. This is a hands-on role for someone who’s at home out in the yard with a phone or camera as they are sitting at a desk.

You’ll report to the Founder & Marketing Manager. Our Marketing Manager looks after the marketing strategy, branding and campaigns, so everything lines up.

The role is part time, 1-2 days per week. You’ll be based on site at Narangba and film regularly across our yards and customer job sites.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Video

- Planning video ideas week by week
- Filming at our facilities, on customer jobs and around the fleet




- Editing short-form video for Instagram Reels first, then cutting it for TikTok and YouTube Shorts
- Writing hooks, captions and on-screen text that stop the scroll
- Building a well-organised library of footage we can reuse
- Producing the occasional longer piece, such as site walkthroughs, explainers and customer stories

Customer socials (B2C)

- Running the Jumbo Instagram and Facebook accounts day to day: plan, create, schedule and post
- Speaking to homeowners, renovators and tradies in plain language
- Replying to comments, messages and reviews on Google, Facebook and Instagram within a few business days
- Tracking what works and adjusting your content to match

Business socials (B2B)

- Building the Jumbo LinkedIn page into a proper B2B channel, including the strategy
- Creating content for builders, developers, facility managers, councils and commercial customers
- Showcasing our recycling and sustainability story
- Supporting the Founder and sales team with content that opens doors

Graphics and design

- Designing static posts, carousels, stories and simple ads in Canva or Figma
- Keeping everything on-brand, cohesive and skilled
- Helping with the occasional flyer, notice or signage mock-up

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

- Around 3-5 years creating content,



whether in-house, at an agency or freelance
- A showreel or portfolio of short-form video you filmed and edited yourself. This matters more to us than your resume.
- Confidence shooting on a phone or camera, with audio and lighting good enough for social
- Strong video editing skills in CapCut, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or similar
- Design skills in Canva, ideally Figma as well
- A real understanding of how Reels, TikTok and LinkedIn each perform differently
- Sharp writing for hooks, captions and LinkedIn posts
- The ability to run your own week without being chased
- A current Australian driver’s licence and your own transport
- Full Australian working rights

HIGHLY REGARDED

- Experience in trades, construction, recycling, waste or similar industry
- Running both B2C and B2B accounts
- Paid social experience, even on a small budget
- Basic photography and photo editing
- An interest in recycling and sustainability

WORKING CONDITIONS

Filming takes place in an active industrial yard and on customer job sites, around heavy vehicles and machinery, outdoors in all weather. You’ll complete a site induction before you start. PPE is provided and must be worn on site (BYO steel capped boots).
