Yan Melbourne is a casual Asian smokehouse located at Toorak rd in South Yarra. We adapt smoking technique into not only meats but also seafoods and vegetables, using seasonal ingredients. We are looking for an experienced Full-time chef to add to our existing small kitchen team.

Key responsibilities

- Work in hot section (pan and grill)
- Prepare and cook meats, seafoods, and vegetables using smoking techniques
- Work with seasonal ingredients

About you

- Minimum 2 years working in a busy kitchen environment
- Experience in hot section (pan and grill)
- Minimum certificate III in commercial Cookery
- Great communication skills and keen to cooperate with others
- Understanding of seasonal produce and how to use kitchen equipment
- Knowledge of Asian food is desirable but not essential
- Holding a work rights visa
- Staff discount within the venue
- Outstanding work environment with opportunity to be promoted
