Bennic Safety Fall Protection Pty Ltd is a privately owned company based in Cairns specialising in installation, service, and sales of height/roof safety access equipment. As we continue to experience sustained growth and an increasing demand in our company, we are on the lookout for current installation/service labourer to join our friendly team. We require a full time employee working 40 hours a week for immediate start. Preferably a young, fit worker able to handle the conditions of working outside and on roofs, who resides or plans to reside in Cairns long term/permanently.
What you'll do:
Work with a site supervisor to install and annually service height safety systems and equipment primarily on roofs. Comprising of anchor points, static lines, guardrail systems, walkway systems, fixed ladders and more.
Work with battery tools and hand tools (which will be supplied).
Work to our Safe Work Method Statement (this means conducting the work as safe as possible with no risk of injury or fall from heights).
Ensure customer satisfaction and timely turn-around on all installations and services.
Engage in continuing education to maintain your knowledge and understanding of equipment, methods, and standards.
Participate in external and internal audits as required.
What you'll bring
No experience required. However, experience with tools and any building knowledge will help to learn quickly how to install and build height safety access systems.
An attitude that is willing to learn from our supervisors.
Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Accuracy and a good eye for attention to detail.
Solid communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and customers.
Comfortable working with computers and software when required.
Comfortable working at heights and in warm/humid weather conditions.
Certificate of Education (Year 12 minimum is ideal but no required).
Australian Manual Drivers Licence (provisional or open) & own vehicle.
The position offers progression to become a lead install technician, with further opportunity for supervisor roles.
