The Eva Copper Mine Project is located on the traditional lands of the Kalkadoon People in North West Queensland, approximately 75 km north-west of Cloncurry and about 95 km north-east of Mount Isa.

The Project is an iron-oxide copper-gold resource featuring multiple open pits and is poised to become the largest greenfield copper mine in Queensland.

The opportunity:

Are you an experienced and motivated Maintenance Leading Hand with a passion for adventure? Thiess is seeking experienced and motivated Maintenance Leading Hand to join our high-performing team at the Eva Copper Mine Project, in the Cloncurry region of Queensland, Australia.

As a key member of the Eva Copper Alliance team, you'll be responsible for supporting safe, efficient production across our fleet while working with a high-performing maintenance team.

Responsibilities:

- Lead and support a skilled mobile maintenance team in line with Supervisor and Superintendent direction.
- Step into Maintenance Supervisor duties when required.




- Perform servicing, repairs and maintenance in accordance with Thiess maintenance and lubrication standards.
- Source technical information from manuals, technical bulletins and computer-based systems.
- Provide technical guidance and support to maintenance and operations personnel.
- Identify and requisition parts and equipment using the correct ordering processes.
- Verify repairs and solutions, ensuring non-conforming equipment is controlled until issues are fully resolved.

- Cert III in Heavy Diesel Fitting or equivalent
- Current G1, G8, G9 (formally S1,2,3) & RIIRIS402EG2
- Proven mining experience with exposure to leading or supervising mobile maintenance HD Fitters
- Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams
- You will also need to always possess high regard and practice health and safety
