The Plant Operator - Water Truck is responsible for undertaking maintenance and construction duties through the skilled operation of Council's plant fleet. This role encompasses a range of duties and responsibilities which may vary as directed by Council.
Key responsibilities
Providing a high standard of operating skills on civil construction and maintaining plant and other equipment
Communicating effectively to ensure an understanding in maintaining assigned equipment
Completing allocated tasks consistently within agreed time frames
Being aware and adhering to protected work practices to ensure all risks are minimised
About you
Verification of Competency in the operation of various types of plant and equipment
Servicing minor repairs and pre-start inspection of various types of earthmoving equipment
Operation of various types of mechanical or electrical hand tools and equipment in Construction and Maintenance Works
Operating various civil construction plant to the required tolerances with due regard to the presence of services
Maintaining harmony within a team and fostering good working relationships with all Council employees, public and visitors
