At Redeemer Lutheran College, we are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate English & Humanities Teacher to join our growing Secondary School on a permanent full-time basis commencing in 2027.

Whether exploring powerful literature, analysing historical events, examining global issues or encouraging students to think critically about the world around them, this role offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact on young people during some of the most formative years of their lives.

About the Role

As an English & Humanities Teacher, you will create engaging, contemporary learning experiences that inspire students to become thoughtful communicators, critical thinkers and active global citizens.

You will join a collaborative and supportive team committed to academic excellence, student wellbeing and innovative teaching practices. Beyond the classroom, you will contribute to the pastoral care of students and actively participate in the vibrant life of the College community.

This role is ideal for an educator who is passionate about fostering a love of language, literature, history, geography and the social sciences while helping students build the confidence and skills needed to thrive in an ever-changing world.

About You

You are an educator who:

- Holds current Queensland College of Teachers registration.




- Has experience teaching English and Humanities in a secondary school setting.
- Brings energy, creativity and enthusiasm to the classroom.
- Inspires students to think critically, communicate effectively and engage meaningfully with the world around them.
- Builds positive and supportive relationships with students, families and colleagues.
- Demonstrates strong curriculum knowledge and contemporary teaching practices.
- Creates inclusive learning environments where every student can thrive.
- Values collaboration, innovation and continuous professional growth.
- Contributes positively to the co-curricular and pastoral life of the College.
