Warehouse and Logistics Assistant at Moon Dog Preston

$36.81 per hour + penalties (FB&TM; Award level 5)

Moon Dog Brewing is one of Victoria's largest independent beverage manufacturers, producing epic beers, seltzers and RTDs out of our Preston facility.

We have a huuuuge summer coming up and are looking for a Warehouse & Logistics Assistant to help keep the beer flowing to the good people of Victoria and beyond!!

You will help in the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, and assist where needed with basic repack tasks.

Reporting to our Warehouse Manager, duties and responsibilities include:

Cyclic stock rotation and accurate data recording

Picking wholesale orders with appropriate shelf life

Packing direct-to-customer and Moon Dog venue orders

Preparing documents, labelling and staging for all outgoing orders

Assist packaging team with forklift and production line operations

Loading and unloading incoming and outgoing goods

Operation and upkeep of equipment such as forklift, scissor lift and pallet jack

Adherence to safety norms and ensuring pedestrian safety, while using equipment

Traffic management of trucks on site

Continuous monitoring and replenishment of cans and packaging materials, to support packaging line

Work closely with WH Manager and Packaging Line Manager to perform ad-hoc duties as required

Appropriate communication with other departments, including packaging, sales and hospitality

Maintaining clean and tidy work area, including warehouse and storage area

A forklift license is mandatory for this role





The role will be between 20 - 40 hours per week approx, Monday-Friday and paid at Level 5 casual ($36.81/hour + penalties)

Our ideal candidate will:

Have a few years warehousing experience under their belt

Be keen and quick to learn our systems and procedures on the job

Be fully available between 6am - 6pm Monday - Friday

Be fully available (no holidays or large chunks of leave required) until xmas

Be an excellent team player and contribute positively to our workplace culture

Have a good level of literacy and be confident in communicating with various stakeholders around logistics

Be punctual and reliable

Be physically fit, all positive to be on their feet for long periods, heavy lifting and getting in and out of the forklift.
