What we are looking for
We have an opportunity for a motivated Legal Assistant to join our busy Victorian insurance (motor vehicle) litigation practice group on a casual basis in our Melbourne office.
You will work closely with our lawyers to provide administrative and file support across a busy legal practice.
Your duties will include:
- opening and maintaining files;
- preparing and filing legal documents;
- managing correspondence and electronic filing;
- assisting with court documents and service;
- answering calls and client enquiries; and
- general administrative support.
This is a great opportunity for a law student looking to gain practical experience in a legal workplace.
We are looking for a candidate who:
- is able to manage a high volume of files and tasks
- has previous experience in motor vehicle recoveries - however, this is not compulsory! We are prepared to provide comprehensive training to the right candidate!
- has high-level communication and client relationship skills
- has a strong work ethic, is motivated and willing to learn
- is able to work independently
- has excellent attention to detail
- is able to manage their time effectively and efficiently.
