NXT Legal and Compliance – Eight Mile Plains QLD

This is a hands-on bookkeeping position, looking after the day-to-day financial administration of a boutique law firm. You'll work approximately 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, Monday to Friday, in a relaxed, welcoming and supportive office environment.

Key responsibilities

- General bookkeeping and maintaining accurate financial records
- Accounts payable and receivable
- Bank reconciliations and transaction processing
- Processing invoices and monitoring paymentsli>
- Assisting with payroll and superannuation
- Maintaining financial records using Xero and other accounting software
- Assisting with financial reporting and BAS preparation
- Supporting the firm's legal accounting and trust accounting processes where appropriate
- Working with accountants and management team to keep everything running smoothly

About you

- Previous bookkeeping or accounts experience
- Comfortable using Xero or similar accounting software
- Organised,



reliable and has positive attention to detail
- Enjoys working with numbers and keeping things in order
- Friendly, approachable and enjoys being part of a team
- Can work independently without needing constant supervision
- Has a positive attitude and a good sense of humour
- Previous experience working in a law firm, particularly with legal accounting software such as Smokeball, would be an advantage, but is certainly not essential
