About the role
As a Trainee Water and Wastewater Operator, you'll join our Water and Waste team, learning alongside experienced operators while gaining practical experience in the operation and maintenance of water and wastewater treatment plants.
Your traineeship will see you:
- Assist with the daily operation of water and wastewater treatment plants.
- Learn how to monitor equipment, identify faults and support maintenance activities.
- Gain hands‑on experience in water sampling, testing and recording results.
- Work alongside experienced operators while completing your formal training and qualifications.
The role at a glance
- Type: Fixed Term – 2 year Traineeship
- Hours: Full-time, 76 hours per fortnight
- Rate: $27.81 per hour
- Roster: Monday to Friday, 9-day fortnight (hello long weekends!)
