Mental Health Disability Support Worker (NDIS)

About the Role

Guardian Nursing Agency (GNA Services) is seeking an experienced and compassionate Mental Health Disability Support Worker to provide consistent support to NDIS participants living with psychosocial disabilities and mental health challenges in the Mandurah and Warnbro areas.

We are looking for someone who is committed to promoting independence, improving wellbeing and supporting participants to achieve their personal goals through recovery-oriented, person-centred support.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver recovery-oriented support to NDIS participants.
- Assist participants with community participation and social inclusion.
- Support the implementation of behaviour support strategies.
- Monitor participants’ wellbeing and report concerns appropriately.
- Promote independence, daily living skills and personal development.
- Maintain professional boundaries and accurate documentation.
- Work collaboratively with participants, families and multidisciplinary teams.

Essential Skills and Experience

- Experience supporting people with mental health conditions.
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional during periods of distress.
- Understanding of recovery-focused and trauma-informed practices.
- Sound judgement, problem-solving skills and a compassionate approach.





Mandatory Requirements

Applicants must have:

- A valid NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- A National Police Clearance.
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
- A current driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Relevant qualifications or demonstrated experience in disability support, mental health or community services.
