An opportunity has arisen to join a privately backed, Sydney-based property developer focused on creating design-led residential and mixed-use communities. With a focus on design quality, placemaking and delivering considered residential environments, the business is seeking an experienced Development Manager to progress a significant high-density residential development through its next phase.

This role will suit a Development Manager who enjoys taking ownership of complex projects, coordinating multiple stakeholders and driving outcomes. With an emphasis on progressing planning and approval pathways, resolving project challenges and maintaining momentum, you will work closely with senior leadership and external consultants to advance a major residential project.

The Opportunity

You will take carriage of a significant high-density residential development, leading the coordination of planning, design and consultant inputs as the project progresses through key approval milestones. The role requires strong development management fundamentals, sound technical judgement and the ability to translate planning and design requirements into clear project actions.

Working closely with senior leadership, consultants and relevant authorities, you will play a key role in progressing the project through its next stage, managing risks and coordinating the decisions required to move it forward.

Key Accountabilities

- Drive the progression of a major residential development through planning, design coordination and key approval milestones
- Coordinate consultant teams and manage inputs required to progress the project through relevant planning and assessment processes
- Manage engagement with authorities and stakeholders,



ensuring project requirements and approval conditions are addressed
- Oversee design development, with a focus on buildability, practical outcomes, risk management and value optimisation
- Monitor project budgets, programme, consultant deliverables and key project risks
- Work collaboratively with construction and delivery stakeholders to ensure planning and design decisions support successful project execution
- Identify project constraints, resolve issues and maintain momentum against key milestones
- Provide clear project reporting, updates and recommendations to senior leadership

About You

- Proven experience as a Development Manager within residential property development
- Experience progressing complex residential projects through planning approvals and design development
- Strong understanding of NSW planning processes, consultant coordination and development delivery
- Confident managing multidisciplinary consultant teams and engaging with authorities and senior stakeholders
- Proactive and solutions-focused, with the ability to drive progress and take ownership of project outcomes
- Strong communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills
