Production Team Leader - Automation & Process Improvement

Are you a hands-on manufacturing leader who loves solving problems, improving systems, and getting the best out of automated packing equipment?

At Krio Krush , we're looking for an energetic Production Team Leader - Automation & Process Improvement to lead our high-speed packing operations across our sachet, canister and automated packaging lines.

This role is ideal for someone who has experience with packing machines, automated production equipment, changeovers, troubleshooting, OEE improvement, and continuous improvement projects and wants to make a genuine impact in a growing food manufacturing business.

What You'll Be Doing

Lead Automated Packing Operations

- Lead and coordinate daily production activities across multiple automated packing lines.
- Ensure production schedules are achieved safely, efficiently, and to quality standards.
- Support operators during start-ups, changeovers, shutdowns, and troubleshooting activities.

Drive Continuous Improvement

- Identify and implement process improvements to reduce downtime, waste, and labour costs.
- Analyse line performance and investigate production losses.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for recurring issues.
- Partner with Maintenance and Engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and performance.
- Champion Lean Manufacturing, 5S and Continuous Improvement initiatives.

Technical Leadership

- Become the go-to leader for packing machine operation and troubleshooting.
- Improve line efficiencies, product flow, machine utilisation and OEE.
- Support automation upgrades and new equipment implementation projects.
- Develop standard work procedures, work instructions and training materials.





Lead and Develop the Team

- Coach, train and develop production operators and leading hands.
- Conduct daily toolbox talks and shift meetings.
- Build a culture focused on Safety, Quality, Accountability and Continuous Improvement.
- Lead by example on the factory floor.

Safety & Quality

- Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP and FSSC requirements.
- Drive a strong food safety and workplace safety culture.
- Maintain accurate production records and system reporting using Business Central.

What We're Looking For

Essential

- Experience leading teams within a food, packaging, FMCG or manufacturing environment
- Strong hands-on experience with automated packing or packaging machinery
- Proven ability to troubleshoot production and equipment issues
- Experience improving line performance, efficiencies and production output
- Strong understanding of GMP, HACCP and food safety systems
- Excellent communication, coaching and leadership skills
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach with a passion for continuous improvement

Highly Regarded

- Experience with sachet filling, canister filling, form-fill-seal or automated packaging equipment.
- Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, Six Sigma or Continuous Improvement methodologies.
- Experience leading automation or capital improvement projects.
- Mechanical aptitude and process optimisation experience.
